MSc student published in Intelligent Risk after international essay win

UCL School of Management MSc Finance with Data Science student Tianqi Peng has won the Spring 2026 PRMIA Intelligent Risk Student Essay Contest, with the winning article now published alongside contributions from leading academics and industry risk professionals.

PRMIA’s Intelligent Risk student essay contest attracts submissions from top tier university programmes specialising in finance and risk management. In staying true to the publication’s practitioner content, the panel of judges range from risk management professionals to academics all of whom have been published in its pages.

As the competition winner, Tianqi’s article has been published in the June 2026 issue of Intelligent Risk, alongside contributions from academic and industry practitioners. In the article, Tianqi argues the case for regulatory change in the next 5 years directly to practitioners in the June issue’s pages.
