Sukanya’s research examines the sustainability of complex collaborative systems, with a particular interest in business-government interactions and their consequences for the energy transition. Her research interests include business sustainability, interorganizational networks, international business, and nonmarket strategy.

She leverages a range of methods, including regression and network analyses of archival data, computational text analysis, and semi-structured interviews and fieldwork, to examine cross-level and cross-sector mechanisms by which social structures shape collective outcomes.

Sukanya earned her PhD in Management and Organizations from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and her BA with Honors in International Relations from Brown University.
